This blog was specifically made for my writing for the media class. I am currently majoring in communications and plan on becoming a sports broadcaster after college. I think I always knew that I wanted to do something in sports for my career and figured that since I wasn’t a good enough athlete, to become a professional in any sport, getting paid to go and cover games would be the next best thing.
My dream job is to become a broadcaster for the New York Yankees, which is my favorite team though I would probably take a job with any professional team even the teams in Boston, which I cant, really stand. Many times sports broadcasters will write their own copy so I feel that this class can help me do that as well.
In high school, I took classes in journalism and sports writing and did well in those classes as well as thoroughly enjoying them. I feel that this class can help me improve my writing skills which I know aren’t the best in the world, and help me prepare for my future career in the media as well. I don’t believe that I am a good writer when it comes to writing papers and things like that, but I do believe I am pretty good when it comes to writing in the style for journalism and media. I believe that this class can also improve my skills as a journalist in case I become a sports journalist instead.

Well, this is a very good start, and I can relate to your goal since my goal is very much the same. Where you wish to be a sportscaster, I wish to be the reviewer. How interesting.
This class allows me to help you, so I would mention that on your second paragraph, you don't need a comma after "can't", which should look like that. What you said is true; we are here to learn, and helping one another is the best way to do that.
I will be very interested to hear more.
It's great that you already know for sure what you want to do. Most people's biggest challenge is finding direction, and the fact that you are already focused on your goals puts you one step ahead of everyone else :)
